Eleanor Turnbull (b. 1992, Co. Durham) lives and works between London and Cornwall. Working with sculpture and film, the two mediums seem to grapple, anthropomorphically with each other. Their physical and digital identities are channeled through use of the landscape and objects laden with psychological content. Eleanor attempts to evoke empathy in the viewer: towards objects, people and landscapes, and towards the things that aren’t immediately graspable. She has a BA(Hons) in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins (2015), and is currently studying on the MFA Fine Art Media course at The Slade School of Fine Art (2020).
