Eleanor Turnbull
Eleanor Turnbull (she/they) is a sculptor and gardener based in West Cornwall, UK.
Casting directly from the landscape itself, Eleanor adapts mould-making to site, season and tide, redefining the classical process as one of play and exploration, a technology for looking or engaging with the environment.
Through documenting rockpools, puddles, patterns, and behaviours within the environment, Eleanor creates a living archive, connecting with what is organic, alive and autonomous, while questioning our relationship - subconsciously, ecologically, romantically, politically - to the land.

Eleanor trained in London at The Slade School of Fine Art (MFA, 2022), and Central Saint Martins (BA, 2015). Upon graduating, Eleanor was awarded the Sarabande Emerging Artist Fund (2022) and an ACME studio award (2015) and has gone on to exhibit and undertake residencies nationally and internationally. Eleanor is an Ingram Prize Finalist (2025) and a recipient of Freelands Foundation funding (2025). Solo presentations include the 20th Solo Residency award (2022) at Unit 1 Gallery | Workshop, London. Recent works can be found at Hypha Curates. Full CV available on request.
